Dr. Alexander Furlan

Dentist

Dr. Alexander Furlan is an Adelaide boy who has completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the
University of Adelaide. He is passionate about general dentistry, in particular cosmetic and
restorative dentistry. He also likes to take the time to get to know his patients in a calm and caring
manner to help them achieve their oral health goals.

Dr Furlan proudest moment was when he travelled to Nepal for a dental volunteer trip in his fourth
year of dentistry. The people and patients were some of the most generous and kind individuals he
has met. He also got to experience the landscape and hiked to Mt. Everest bast camp and experience
he will never forget.

If Alex hadn’t become a dentist, he dreamt of being a professional soccer player, but realistically he
would probably done law or engineering.

It’s no surprise that in his spare time he enjoys playing soccer and is an active member in the
Pembroke Old Scholars Soccer Association. He would also love to watch a live Manchester City
game, some day.

Alex also enjoys relaxing with family and friends, travelling, and eating Mexican food by the beach,
listening to Taylor Swift.

Alesha

Oral Health Therapist

With her warm, caring and gentle personality, Alesha will surely help put even the most anxious child or adult at ease.

Alesha also brings to the practice over 5 years of experience as an Oral Health Therapist, who is an expert in performing general in performing general dental treatment for children, including examinations, fillings, tooth removal and fissure sealants.

She also motivates her patients to take better care of their oral health and promote disease prevention for both adults and kids.

Dr. Richard Myhill

Dentist

Dr. Richard Myhill had been practising dentistry in the western suburbs of Adelaide for over 41 years.

He is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and has maintained his connections with the university. For the past 8 years he has been a part time clinical tutor for the final year dental students at the University of Adelaide Dental School where he has been well respected and highly valued by his students.

Committed to continuing education, Dr. Myhill is an active member of the Dental Advancement Society and the Australian Society of Periodontology.

His other interests include the study of history – both ancient and modern – and he has a Bachelor of Arts degree which he earned largely in the Classics Department of the University of Adelaide. This interest has often led him to very interesting travel destinations and he aspires to joining in an archaeological dig.

In his spare time he can often be found either walking or riding his bike with his wife – and good coffee at some stage is essential!

Katie

Location Coordinator

Katie is the first person you speak to on the telephone and when you come int to the practice.

She chosen a career in the dental profession as she loves to work with people of all ages and helping them to achieve beautiful smiles. If she had not gone into dentistry, she would have become a flight attendant.

Katie enjoys eating tapas, sipping cocktails on a tropical beach. Katie barracks for Port Adelaide.

Dr Yohan Thomas

Consultant Specialist Prosthodontist

A prosthodontist is a dentist who specializes in the field of dentistry that relates to rebuilding natural teeth and restoring missing teeth with prosthetic replacements. This may involve a routine procedure such as making a crown for a damaged tooth or it could involve more complex procedures, such as full mouth reconstruction or extensively damaged dentitions involving the use of veneers, bridges, dentures, dental implants.

A Prosthodontist is responsible for executing those treatments, as well as coordinating treatment that may be required by other specialists.

Several years of specialist training and recognition by the Dental Board of Australia as a Specialist in Prosthodontics places Dr Thomas in the optimal position to manage the more challenging cases such as those with significate functional or aesthetic problems.

Sarah Ng

Dentist

 

Dr Sarah Ng completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2015 and has been in private practice since graduation. She converses fluently in English, Mandarin, Malay and also understands the Cantonese and Hokkien dialect well.

Dr Sarah enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is gentle with her patients. Her special interests are in periodontics and preventative dentistry. She regularly attends professional development courses to consolidate her knowledge and skills and to provide the best treatment for her patients.

Outside of work, Dr Sarah enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.
